In 1964 screenwriter and producer Gene Roddenberry developed an idea for a science fiction television series called Star Trek and in doing so asked us to look to the future and the wonders of the Star Trek universe. To me Star Trek has always been about the wonders of space exploration, the people, the adventures, Starships and technology.
The data base
This Web site is dedicated to the world of Star Trek. All material including text, images and sounds are taken from the master library computer system at Starfleet headquarters, the administrative center of Starfleet command. This data base contains information on the Federation, Starships, Starfleet personnel, Archive, and Astronomy. All content within this Web site is covered by a Creative Commons License and all data base entries remain the property of their creators.
